Don’t compromise
King Solomon loved God when he was young, and God gave him wisdom in a dream. He became the wisest man next to Jesus Christ who ever lived (2 Kings 3:12; 10:6-7)! In Deuteronomy 17:14-20 God gave specific Laws for the Kings of Israel to observe. However, King Solomon broke every one of them. He compromised by marrying the daughters of many foreign kings to strengthen his political powers. Those foreign wives turned his heart away from God to idol worship when he was older. He multiplied horses by sending his subjects to Egypt to buy them and greatly multiplied silver and gold for himself. He ignored keeping a copy of God’s Law by his throne to read and observe it. He soon forgot God and built temples for his foreign wives and started serving those foreign gods! The wisest man in the then-known world became a fool in his old age because he compromised God’s Word. So, don’t compromise!
Deuteronomy 17:14-20 – Laws for Israel’s Kings
16 But he shall not multiply horses for himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt to multiply horses, for the Lord has said to you, ‘You shall not return that way again.’ 17 Neither shall he multiply wives for himself, lest his heart turn away; nor shall he greatly multiply silver and gold for himself. 18 “Also it shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this law in a book, from the one before the priests, the Levites. 19 And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the Lord his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes, 20 that his heart may not be lifted above his brethren, that he may not turn aside from the commandment to the right hand or to the left, and that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his children in the midst of Israel.
Don’t compromise!
When the enemy says that there is no afterlife,
Don’t believe it! Because for your redemption,
Jesus has paid with his blood - the highest price!
If you were to fall, for the foe’s temptation,
You will indeed have to pay its asking price!
And it will be an exorbitant price,
That will cost you your everlasting life!
Don’t compromise!
When the world tries, you to entice.
Please do your best to rise
Above the world’s unholy mould!
Because it wants to squeeze you in,
And cause you to fall short, and sin!
So, don’t let your precious soul be sold
To the world, but on you, break off it’s hold!
So, with it, do not compromise!
Don’t compromise!
Just don’t compromise!
With the enemy, and its cohorts!
But stand your ground and arise,
From their suggestive evil thoughts!
Use God’s Word like Jesus did,
Against the enemies’ sinful torts.
And in Jesus’ name, bind and forbid
Them, from advancing their trade-off bid!
Don’t compromise!
When the enemy, entices you to do a vice
That is, a thing you know that is not nice,
Resist the devil, in Jesus’ name!
As its plans and ploys are always the same,
Get you to sin and then you, it will condemn and shame!
So, with it, do not compromise!
Instead, do the thing that’s doubtless wise,
Resist it, in Jesus’ name!
And send it to hell’s burning flame!
Then you will be glad and not be ashamed!
Don’t compromise!
Just don’t compromise!
By having restless, roving eyes!
If on Jesus you will fix your eyes,
And His Word you will not minimise,
But will let His Word, your heart scrutinise,
And with the Holy Spirit, you will harmonise,
Then your spirit, soul and body, He will synchronise,
And your faith He will optimise
To do the Father’s will at sunset or sunrise,
So that with the foe and the world, you will not compromise!
